Post anything out of character about the Siege at Virianas campaign here. Once we have everyone post here once we will start using the forum instead of e-mail as our main campaign correspondence.

So as you guys have probably noticed we're officially using the forum for our game now. E-mails are a thing of the past in this campaign!

I'm also letting you all know that I've offered to accept a few people from another forum. Hopefully they'll be around these parts soonish to wander about and say hello. Obviously this means we won't be playing at a table should they join so hopefully our game here will turn to something awesome on it's own Smile

So I'm wondering if everyone is cool posting at least once a day. If after 24 hours you haven't posted in-game during a combat I'll make some NPC action for your character (something fairly obvious). Combat can really bog things down (as you guys are probably seeing) but we shouldn't shirk it completely because of that (combat is important in D&D Razz). If you haven't posted for 48 hours out of combat we'll also continue on. We'll just assume your character is following along like a lost puppy Smile

I'm also curious, how do you guys want to handle "secret rolls" such as hide or the like? I could do them myself and record the result personally, I can let you make the roll at the time it's needed, or we can have a list of rolls available for such a thing (something like ten d20 rolls or something and I'll add your mods when the roll is required).

I'd say NPC is a good way to go in battle when someone doesn't post for a length of time. I'm almost never on during the weekend - and I wouldn't want people waiting around for me to make an attack or something stupid like that.

For secret rolls... I'd say let you handle them unless the character is online? I'm not too sure about that one. You have most of us on MSN (or I assume you do) so if you need a hide check, message us on there?

And also ... death to the fire poker! >=|

Yeah, npc actions sound good for when we dont post for a certain length of time. It just makes sense so that things dont get really, really drawn out.

Also; msn us if we're online for secret rolls, and ask us to them, I think. Or even just send pm's on here.

Thanks for the feedback you two. I've made my first NPCing, it's almost as glorious as giving birth (not)! Hopefully it's not something I have to do often.

As for secret rolls, I do have most of your contact info aside from these forums. For those who don't have my contact info I have posted it under my profile. Feel free to add me, chat it up, grease the wheels with some praise of my mighty GMing skillz and how handsome and awesome I must be because of it Razz Also if you guys want to discuss among yourselves feel free to chat and such (granted you don't mind sharing your own contact info). Plot against my inferior-style NPCs and badly written dialogue Smile But I'd really rather have everything in-game related on the forums here (especially since I don't have some people's contact info but also to keep things in one spot - it's hard to wrangle up all the info I've given to various people since it's on so many mediums).

Misery and zeevico, should you finish up your character's feel free to jump right into the game whenever. Just assume the explosion attracted you or find some other reason to get involved in the house escapades currently happening. Once I get a PM or see you post in the game thread (I will also hopefully have a copy of your character sheet or it was placed on the wiki I link to in my signature) we can tweak your character if there's any problems. Hopefully you guys are still interested Smile

Finally, I'm always up for feedback. I'm new to this PbP stuffs so suggestions are welcome. Cursing that damn fire poker for surviving so long seems to be the order of the day!

Damn you fire poker!

It's probably just me but I'm getting ridiculously pumped by the latest encounter. Hope you guys are enjoying the game so far Smile

It was nice to have so many posts done right at once so there was no pesky waiting. =)
